About Psychodynamic Counselling and Psychotherapy
Psychodynamic counselling and psychotherapy involves helping individuals to unpack and understand their unconscious conflicts and the impact of early past experiences on behaviours, thoughts, and feelings, especially relating to relationships with others.
The goals of psychodynamic psychotherapy are to improve interpersonal functioning, self-awareness, self-esteem, and symptoms of their underlying mental health difficulties. Therapy is a personal journey and it can be a slow process to recognise a change. But when that change happens, you can find that things in your life positively improve, for instance, relationships, friendships are more fulfilling.
“I see therapy as a path for creating positive changes. Being a psychodynamic therapist, I strongly believe that therapy can make a difference in individual’s life as it has done in mine”.
